My Camera, my sword

Raised Candles

By Clarence Chiang

“The pen is mightier than the sword.”

As the saying goes. But as a photographer only way I know to express, the only way for me to change this world, is through my camera.

Camera is an unbiased device to honestly capture and document moment in time, an honest witness to history.  In these few weeks I have shot various events of Hong Kong people commemorating the 20th Anniversary of the Tiananman Massacre. I want to document that the Hong Kong general public have not forgotten, unlike the government officials, a small group of Chinese exile and dissidents have not forgotten and are trying their best to educate the next generation who are being brainwashed by the communist party.

Writers write, reporters report, and photographers photograph.
